Leigh works for the NZ Transport Agency, where her focus is on harnessing data, evidence and people-centric design methods to increase the value the transport system provides to customers and communities.
She is passionate about designing systems and services that work for - and deliver value to - real people. Her motto is that all work is about people – their needs, their aspirations, their well-being and their impacts on others and the environment – therefore people need to be at the centre of a team’s thinking, regardless of what that team is working on.
Leigh has applied her philosophy across a wide range of disciplines including transport, fisheries, heritage, information and environment. She has extensive experience designing, implementing and administering government policy at international, national and local levels.
