Tim Occleshaw is responsible for leading delivery of the Government ICT Strategy and Action Plan to 2017, developing ICT Common Capability products and services, and leading development and implementation of ICT System Assurance across government. He reports to Government Chief Information Officer Colin MacDonald.
Tim is also Deputy Chief Executive, Service and System Transformation, at the Department of Internal Affairs, where he leads ICT strategy and delivery.
Before joining Internal Affairs in 2012, Tim spent four years with Inland Revenue as Deputy Commissioner, Information, Design and Systems, and also served as Chief Information Officer at the Ministry of Social Development. In July 2008 he was New Zealand CIO of the Year.
Tim has spent more than 25 years working in business and IT management roles in the financial services sector in Australia and New Zealand, including heading IT for ANZ New Zealand.
