Rachel Kelly is an ex-scientist, strategist, business developer, and marketing professional who has spent the last 19 years in the science and technology sector. After spending 9 years in California working within high-tech manufacturing, she returned to New Zealand in 2014 and has been heavily involved with stimulating the regional and national technology ecosystem. She is a co-founder of the Waikato technology cluster, former Deputy Chair of NZTech, and is on the AI Forum New Zealand Executive Council. As part of Rachel’s mission to reimagine digital trust and tackle AI corruption, she recently founded digital ethics powerhouse, Ethical AI and accepted a role leading Australasian Business Partnerships at Nyriad, a New Zealand technology company forging trails in exascale computational storage.
Geoff Thorn is the Chief Executive Officer of the New Zealand Telecommunications Forum (TCF). The purpose of the TCF is to foster cooperation among the telecommunications industry to enable the efficient provision of regulated and non-regulated telecommunications services. Prior to this, Geoff was the General Manager of the Parliamentary Service. He has a strong regulatory background, developed at the Commerce Commission where he worked in a number of management roles involved with the Commission’s regulatory and Competition law functions before being appointed as its General Manager. Geoff has an MBA with distinction and a MMgnt (Economics).
