2019 NZ EA/PA of the Year

This award category is open for candidate submissions and nominations on behalf of a candidate

Entries for the New Zealand EA/ PA of the Year will recognise the pre-eminent individual who shows excellence in all areas in the role but also demonstrates the ability to go above and beyond the role and lead initiatives that add value to the organisation, its people, key stakeholders and customers.  Finalists in this category may be interviewed individually by the judging panel following the shortlisting process and will need to make themselves available, either in person in Auckland or via Skype, on Friday, 16 August 2019.

Our highest award, winners of NZ EA/PA of the Year can truly be regarded as the best of the best. Becoming a finalist or winner announces to your employer and to your profession, that you have reached the highest level in your chosen profession. You will have all of the skills required to effectively operate at board and executive level and communicate and operate in such a way that your impact on your organisation is consistently felt. 

Submissions will require detailed explanations illustrating how the nominee excels at:

  • Communications skills
  • Sound business judgement
  • Managing line and inter-departmental communications
  • An excellent and productive working relationship with their manager(s)
  • Managing confidentiality and privacy
  • Providing support to their manager, Executive Leadership Team or board
  • Initiatives for improvement
  • Being an Ambassador of excellence for their organisation

Entry guidelines:

  • Submissions must include one or more detailed testimonials from a manager(s)
  • You may enter yourself or nominate a colleague in your entry
  • Business Unit Managers, HR, Marketing/Communications or Finance teams may wish to nominate/enter their colleagues
  • Managers and employers may enter a nomination (multiple entries for separate nominations from one organisation are accepted)

2019 Administration Team of the Year Award

This award category is open for team submissions and nominations on behalf of a team

This Award will be awarded to a team of support staff who work as a group to deliver excellent support to their managers and business unit, division, branch or company and work over and above expectations.  They will work extremely well together to achieve specific objectives and provide a good support network for not only their own teams but those who they work with on a daily basis.  They will support each other and make sure that their business runs smoothly with a consistently high level of work delivering the required outcomes.  The Judges will recognise teams which have contributed to companywide communication, process improvement, company or department culture and wider contribution to the business.  The submission should include examples where the team has contributed towards achieving organisational objectives and added value, company or department wide.  This award celebrates those support teams that make a difference!

Employers, bosses, HR, Marketing, Sales & Finance teams are encouraged to nominate their outstanding support teams.

Entry guidelines:

  • The team must consist of at least three staff to qualify for this award
  • The team must work for the same parent company but can work across multiple sites or branches
  • The team may enter themselves or be nominated by colleagues.
  • Business Unit Managers, HR, Marketing/Communications or Finance teams may wish to nominate/enter their colleagues
  • A single, designated point of contact must be provided
  • Managers and employers may enter a nomination (multiple entries for separate nominations from one organisation are accepted)
