Martin Sloman Counselling
Martin Sloman is a Welsh born New Zealander who has worked within Primary Care and as a self employed counsellor for over 15 years. 9 years ago he co-founded the men's mental heath charity Whirlwind which exists predominantly on the Kapiti Coast and exists to help men support each other with whatever is going on for them. The sustainability of Whirlwind is a model that Martin is seeking to replicate at a community level. He is a passionate advocate for mental health and wellbeing. He is a member of the Kapiti Health Advisory Group, advising on mental health. Martin was awarded the Queen's Service Medal in 2019 for Services to Mental Health. He lives on the Kapiti Coast with his wife and 2 children.
