Dr Delwyn Moller

Principal Systems Engineer

Remote Sensing Solutions

Kea World Class New Zealander

Dr. Delwyn K. Moller is a Principal Systems Engineer at Remote Sensing Solutions, Inc (RSS). She received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst after completing the M.E degree (Distinction) and the B.E. degree (Honours) at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. After her Ph.D. she joined NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) where she worked on radar technology, primarily with a focus toward Earth science. Both at JPL and in her current position at RSS, she has developed innovative state-of-the-art remote sensing systems for measuring critical aspects of the Earth’s surface to support science research and applied sciences with applications ranging from mapping ocean currents, ice-surface topography, surface water hydrology, snow depth mapping and soil moisture retrieval. She has won multiple JPL and NASA awards including being a co-recipient on the prestigious NASA Space Act award for a planetary landing radar design.

Richard Reinen-Hamill

Sector Director - Natural Hazard Resilience

Tonkin and Taylor

Richard is an engineer with 28+ years experience. His key skills are; evaluating coastal processes; hazard assessment including climate change effects; assisting clients plan for resilience; designing effective solutions taking into account the natural processes. He is recognised as one of New Zealand’s leading coastal engineers and coastal hazard specialists. He is sought after by central and local government as well as commercial clients as a proven expert witness and technical specialist and his ability to communicate complex processes and solutions to a wide range of audiences.

Dragan Tutulic

Head of Water Resources

DHI Water and Environment

Dragan has over 15 years of postgraduate industry and research experience working on various aspects of water resources and stormwater management, river and urban drainage hydraulics and hydrology, flood risk assessment, decision support and computer modelling. Dragan is a principal engineer and head of water resources department at DHI in New Zealand. He is a certified MIKE software trainer who has developed and delivered numerous training courses throughout New Zealand and Australia to the professional engineering and scientific community. He started his career working with physical models of dams and hydro-electric power plants, including site data collection and field measurements towards building and calibrating physical models. In addition, he has been in charge of a team for monitoring water distribution and sewer networks. Following completion of his M.Sc. degree in hydroinformatics at IHE in Delft, his career focused more on computer modelling of water environments and that spread across water distribution, wastewater and stormwater projects, rivers and floodplain modelling work, all the way to integrated catchment management and water quality.
