The EVworld NZ Champions Awards acknowledge Electric Vehicles as a unique and disruptive industry in New Zealand in its own right. The Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate those individuals, businesses and communities that are championing success, service and progress. The 2019 EVworld NZ Champions Awards categories are:

2019 AWARDS & SUBMISSION CRITERIA

 

Most EV Friendly Town of the Year


This award category is open for submissions and nominations

Open to those New Zealand towns and cities who are prioritising investment into policy, infrastructure and resources to promote the use of electric vehicles (this may include cars, buses, bikes etc) within their community. 

Please submit your entry outlining:

  • Your town/city's vision and policy to promote the use of EVs
  • A precis of you prioritisation and commitment of resources
  • Key initiatives that have been deployed in the past 12 months and next 12 months
  • Key outcomes for your community

2018 Winner – Whangarei
 


EV Champion of the Year


This award category is open for nominations only

This award is designed to recognize New Zealand individuals who are personally invested in the promotion the use of EVs in New Zealand.

Please submit your entry outlining:

  • Your vision and why you are committed to promoting the uptake of EVs and electric bikes in New Zealand
  • Your application to assisting this vision to be achieved
  • Your proudest achievements

SME-EV Award of the Year


This award category is open for nominations and submissions

The SME-EV Award is open to small and medium size organisatons with revenues under $30 million per annum. It is designed to recognise those smaller New Zealand businesses who are making a conscious choice to commit resource and join the adoption of EV technology to begin converting their fleet to electric.

Please submit your entry outlining:

  • A summary of your business, its revenue, its position in the market and the value proposition to your customer - why EVs are important to you and your market/customer
  • Your business fleet profile over the last 5 years why you have taken the decision to include EVs within your fleet
  • The key outcomes realized through having EVs in your fleet and business
  • Your fleet plans for the next 2 years

Fleet Champion of the Year


This award category is open for nominations and submissions

This award recognizes an organisation that goes above and beyond in their commitment to EVs in their commercial fleet.

Please submit your entry outlining:

  • A summary of your business, its revenue, its position in the market and the value proposition to your customer - why EVs are important to you and your market/customer
  • Your business fleet profile over the last 5 years why you have taken the decision to include EVs within your fleet
  • The key outcomes realized through having EVs in your fleet and business
  • Your fleet plans for the next 2 years

EV Sales and Service Award


This award category is open for nominations only

This award will recognise those organisations who are resourcing and delivering excellent support, training, products and service around Electric Vehicles (all forms) in New Zealand.

This award is open to nominations from recent purchasers of EVs (all forms)  (1 January 2015 onwards)who have experienced exceptional service from an oranisation providing products and services for EVs in New Zealand.  This may include but is not limited to EV/Ebike sales or hire, Insurance, Vehicle/bike service support, Charging.  A  weighting of 50%  will be given to the customer votes using an online poll listing finalists on the EV Owners Facebook page.

Please submit your nomination outlining

  • A summary of your business dealership, staffing and service proposition
  • How EVs (all forms) fit into your overall product and service proposition
  • Your education and service strategy and measurement of customer experience and satisfaction
  • Any testimonials from customers to support your application
