Matthew is GM Digital Technology at Kotahi Logistics. In this role, he is responsible for both delivery of the company’s Digital & Data transformation and core business technology. He also supports the development of the Kotahi portfolio of New Products and Services. Prior to working at Kotahi Matthew worked in corporate & institutional banking across a range of roles for a decade, was a start-up COO, and an Information Architect at consultancies including US firm Publicis Sapient. He has been working with data in many forms since the dot-com bubble of 2000 and has a Masters in Innovation Management.

Penny Murphy

Head of Digital Transformation, Asia

Penny has over 14 years of experience in marketing, digital, strategy, and change management. She is the only female under 40 on the Asia Leadership Team of Arcadis, the senior leaders who are responsible for driving and delivering the regional strategy. Penny currently leads two business functions in Asia, the Digital Transformation business unit focusing on the transformation of internal and external needs/services and the Marketing & Communication business unit, leading a 15 plus multi-disciplinary team regionally. Her career started in ‘traditional’ marketing and shifted to developing strategic market propositions, mobilising change agendas and digital transformation as industries faced rapid disruption impacting the end-user experience. During her career, she has lead development of digital solutions and new products for The Economist, developed market positions strategy for tech companies such as Cisco, to rolling out enterprise transformation & change programs. Penny is highly passionate about mobilising strategy into implementation to really affect organisational transformation and culture shift. As a trained Design Thinker, she also likes to dabble in graphic design and develop apps. She has been based in Asia for over 8 years and holds BsC in Marketing with Social History and has a Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.

Richa Goswami - Global Head of Content and Creative Excellence, Digital Partnerships and Platforms, J&J consumer group of companies; Advisory Board member Richa is a global digital innovator with over 20 years’ experience with leading financial and FMCG brands across 50 markets in 5 continents. She has been a pioneer in the fintech and health tech and has hands-on expertise disrupting traditional business models, creating new age connected commerce models and leading organisational transformation. She has also been a Co-Founder of a Health tech start-up-Fitness Quotient which focused on enabling people to live healthier, more vibrant lives. She is a Digital Advisory Board member at a Fortune 100 company, MMA Board Member, International keynote speaker, Cannes winner Jury at leading Industry awards and a TEDx speaker. She has also been voted as a Top 25 Innovator in APAC, Top 25 CMO in APAC and Top 100 Smartest Digital Marketing Leaders in APAC. Richa places a strong focus on mentorship and also volunteers with NGOs that work on women and children causes and with intellectually challenged young adults.

William Confalonieri

William Confalonieri is Deakin University’s Chief Digital and Information Officer, appointed in January 2012. William has postgraduate qualifications in Computer Science, Business, Negotiation, and Economics and is a certified Enterprise Architect and a graduate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. William was awarded the Australian CIO of the Year by IT News in 2014 and 2018, and by the CEO Magazine in 2016 and 2018 (runner-up). William is the recipient of the Computerworld/IDG Premier 100 Global Technology Leader Award and has received the 2018 CXO Gold Disruptor Award by the Australian Computer Society. He has a passion for emerging technologies and believes that digital innovations and changes in technological paradigms will significantly transform most businesses over the next few years, with the evolving expectations of rich digital personal experiences being the drivers of that transformation.

Cat Matson

Brisbane’s Chief Digital Officer & Head of Brisbane Innovate

Cat Matson is Brisbane’s Chief Digital Officer and the Head of Brisbane Innovate for the city’s economic development board, Brisbane Marketing. As Chief Digital Officer she is charged with the digital transformation of the city and driving Brisbane’s city-wide digital strategy. Cat's strength and love of the digital sector led her to take a lead on key innovation projects in Brisbane. From educating children on coding to supporting local budding entrepreneurs, she heads up Brisbane Innovate including the annual summit and lab which focus on using design thinking to generate solutions for citywide challenges. Cat is a passionate advocate for human-centric ‘smart cities’, recognising that digital is an enabler, not an outcome in its own right. She is a regular panellist and moderator for key industry events, talking on everything from digital to small business, to the problem with smart cities. Cat endeavors to discern a trend from fad in the digital space and determine how businesses can leverage new technologies to reach their full potential. Appointed in 2014, Cat was recently recognised as one of Australia’s top digital innovators, winning the Digital Experience Leader for Australia in the 2018 IDC Digital Transformation Awards.
