Tom Cochran is a digital transformation consultant and executive keynote speaker. He spent over four years in the Obama administration as a presidential appointee and digital leader helping advance the President’s open government directive. He currently speaks to international audiences about his experiences to help differentiate digital from IT, gain competitive advantage through emerging technologies, and embrace a "digital-first" culture. At the White House, he ran digital technology powering WhiteHouse.gov to amplify President Obama’s message, and led the team that built the 'We the People' petitions platform. He also ran global public diplomacy platforms for the U.S. Department of State, emphasizing digital modernization, a cloud-first approach, and the power of relationships and networks to advance U.S. foreign policy abroad. In the private sector, he ran the government business development practice as the Chief Digital Strategist and VP of Public Sector at Acquia, the leading cloud provider of digital experience management platforms. He also served as the Chief Technology Officer for Atlantic Media (i.e., publisher of The Atlantic, Quartz, GovExec, National Journal brands). In 2004, he was the first person hired by Blue State Digital (the Obama campaign's digital team), spending a few years engineering the early applications that would grow into the robust digital platform which helped President Obama raise $1.2 billion online in two election cycles. Early in his career, he was the lead engineer and inventor on a content and feedback management system, which was awarded a U.S. patent in 2002.

Leigh Smyth

Leigh has a passion for tech and data for good and has pioneered a new function for the UK's largest Bank, Lloyds Banking Group (LBG), Responsible Transformation. Leigh currently leads the LBG Transformation approach for inclusion and diversity, as well as running multiple programmes using tech and data for good for the banks Customers, Communities, Colleagues and Cross sector Partnerships.    Leigh joined Lloyds Banking Group in 2012 as Head of Digital Inclusion, establishing and leading the digital inclusion agenda on behalf of the Group. In this role she built Europe’s largest digital advocacy network of over 24,000 Digital Champions and also leads the development of the UK’s only behavioural analysis into the digital capability of SMEs, Charities and 1 million Consumers– the Lloyds Bank Digital Indexes. These annual reports are now used by both central and local Government as the UK benchmark for digital capability.    Leigh’s passion for digital for good started during her career in retail, where as innovation lead as for PC World Leigh launched the first UK computing range for children range with Dixon Stores Group. Following this Leigh then moved to the public sector, helping to lead and design the UK Government Home Access Scheme which Prime Minister Gordon Brown announced in 2010 and saw half a million low income families access the power of digital at home. Leigh then joined the UK Digital Champion Baroness Lane Fox in her challenge to remove the digital divide and was appointed as Managing Director for ‘Race Online 2012’. This involved running the organisation including the partnership campaign and the production of the Manifesto for a networked nation, launched with the Prime Minister David Cameron with over 1000 organisations signing the pledge. Leigh is also an entrepreneur, successfully starting a company in her local town of Northampton and mentoring local talent to run their own local business.     Leigh has won several awards for her work and recently been recognised with an award for Outstanding Achievement by Women in Banking & Finance of which she is now an advisor. Leigh is also a UK Top Ten Digital Leader and a considered thought leader for UK tech.

Lauren is responsible for Coda’s digital strategy, driving business optimisation and growth through technology foundations and innovation. Lauren is a digital and innovation executive and investor with 20 years’ experience activating digital business opportunities for start-ups and multinationals to drive fundraising, growth acceleration, global expansion, acquisition and exit. Lauren is a proven strategist and prior to joining Coda in 2018, built a successful career from building digital products and spin off’s as viable propositions, across sectors including Supply Chain & Logistics, Renewable Energy, Manufacturing and Smart Cities. Lauren is also an Investor in early stage technologies companies across North America and Europe.
