Founder & CEO
Grass Roots Media
Chelsea is creating her niche in being the social voice for rural New Zealand. After completing Innovate 2015 alongside her Kellogg Rural Leadership programme, she launched Grass Roots Media, a rural social media and marketing business based in the Manawatu. In 2016 Chelsea was a Women of Influence finalist for the Business Enterprise and Rural categories, and was named as a Top 10 semi-finalist for the University of Auckland Young New Zealander of the Year. Chelsea considers herself a multipotentialite and has a real drive for seeing entrepreneurs grow by helping them demystify all things marketing and small business. Chelsea now spends her day being the voice of many rural companies and is in a governance role for the non-profit organisation, New Zealand Young Farmers.
Group Marketing Manager
After studying digital media at AUT, Jason worked on e-commerce startups of varying size and success. Moving into a sales and advisory role at Stuff and Tracta, he worked alongside many agribusinesses, big and small, which gave him significant insight into the challenges that these companies and the wider ag industry were facing. Specialising in the digital space, he sees a real need for a well planned and executed strategy to play a part in the promotion of the sector, and the businesses and people within it. Now client-side at Zeala Ltd, he is working closely with data scientists on marketing automation and data management.
