19th Annual Marketing to the Rural Sector Conference
Adapting and Thriving in the changing rural environment
Chelsea Millar, Social media strategist and owner of Grass Roots Media, chaired two full days of discussion, insights, and case studies about the best ways to strategically market to the rural sector at Auckland’s Crowne Plaza.
Topics such as global trends and economic policies impacting the rural sector opened the two-day plenary. Keynote speaker Jason Tiller provided insight into the future of marketing in the rural sector through the use of AI and big data. The two panels encouraged lively discussion and debate, and the farmers’ panel displayed an insight into understanding the challenges, priorities, and viewpoints of modern farming.
Hot topics in this conference featured around the themes of sustainability and industry regulation, and how agriculture is perceived in the eye of global consumers.
