2010 Highlights

The inaugural 2010 CFO Summit held at Sky City in Auckland on March 16th was a HUGE success.  The event was a sell out, attended by over 200 people, including CFOs, CEOs, Company Directors and 2nd tier finance managers. 280 attendees for the CFO Summit Dinner and Awards rounded off a perfect day, and we were honoured to host Ray Avery, Chief Executive, Medicine Mondiale, Winner of KEA World Class New Zealand Award 2009 and 2010 Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year as our Dinner guest speaker.

The 2010 CFO Summit  hosted speakers such as Simon Moutter, Rob McLeod, Greg Muir, John Allen, David Fincher, the management team from The Flight Centre and International Keynote presenter on leadership and strategy, Sydney Finkelstein. Special thanks should also be made to Rod Oram for expertly chairing the day.

Presentations provided provoking insights on leadership, the Board’s requirements and expectations of a CFO, successful CFO/CEO relationship, research findings of 8 key performance goals of successful organisations and communication and strategy.  

After lunch the audience engaged in breakout groups of 2 hour roundtable discussions.  The discussions, covering 8 topics encouraged the sharing of experiences and insights around a number of key challenges facing CFOs in their day to day roles.

An intense but enjoyable day of learning and sharing, and networking opportunities were large and well utilised.  Thanks to all who participated in making the 2010 event such a huge success.
