Michelle Parker

I am a true Waikato supporter, having spent my life growing up in Hamilton. I graduated from Waikato University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Social Sciences, majoring in Psychology. I soon completed my Legal Professional Studies in Christchurch, took my first road trip around the South Island, and was admitted to the High Court as a Barrister and Solicitor in December 2009.

As a recent grad in a negative employment environment, I made the move to Auckland after being offered a regional administrative position at an international engineering company. I worked my way into a national Marketing role and then on to an international Business Development Support Service role, where I managed, modified and became the guru of reporting and client relationship systems. I gained experience training staff across NZ and Australia, and liaising with employees in Singapore.

I enjoy working as a Conference Manager because I can learn as much as I work. Being in a position to create conferences which support communication and learning across a wide variety of industries is very rewarding. The role especially satisfies my interest in people, problem-solving and business. Then when I have a spare moment, I enjoy hitting the surf, exploring new places, and relaxing with friends and family.
